Virtual Office Georgia LLC
Using a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency
What is a CMRA?
A Commercial Mail Receiving Agency, or CMRA for short, is a private business that has received authorization from the USPS to accept and redistribute mail on behalf of the CMRA’s clients.
When you hire a CMRA, you get a business mailing address that you can use to receive all your company’s mail. The CMRA then forwards that mail to you (this can be done physically, digitally, or using a pickup box).
CMRAs get authorization through USPS. However, a CMRA can accept mail from any delivery company. This includes FedEx, UPS, and DHL.
Virtual Office Georgia LLC is an authorized CMRA, so you can be sure that we keep your mail secure and comply with all CMRA rules.
Get Convenient Online Mail Delivery With Mail Scanning
At Virtual Office Georgia LLC, we provide our CMRA clients with mail scanning rather than physical mail forwarding or mail pickup.
Mail scanning is digital mail forwarding. When your mail arrives, we scan each item (envelope included) and upload those scans to your online portal.
The advantage of mail scanning over physical mail forwarding or pickup is that you can view your mail the same day it arrives, wherever you are. Plus, you don’t have to deal with mail clutter or take time out of your busy day to go get your mail.
Why Should You Use a CMRA for Your Business?
Get Convenient Mail Management Solutions
There are multiple benefits to using a CMRA for your business, including keeping your personal and business mail separate, increasing your privacy with a dedicated business mailing address, and easier mail management.

Who can benefit from using a CMRA?
Using a CMRA with mail scanning is an ideal address and mail solution for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and other business owners who:
- Work out of a home office
- Have multiple business locations
- Don’t have a set office location
- Travel frequently
- Run an online or remote business
- Don’t want to deal with physical mail
- Want the ability to view mail from anywhere
What are the advantages of using a CMRA?
Simplify Mail Management & Increase Privacy
Here are the main advantages of using a CMRA, and specifically Virtual Office Georgia LLC, for your business:

Increase your credibility with a real Atlanta address
Using your residential address or PO Box for your business address can make your company look unprofessional—or even a little shady. With Virtual Office Georgia LLC, you get a real street address in a commercial zone in Atlanta. Not only that, but our address is stable. We’re not just renting out suites in random office buildings. The address you get with us is permanent, so you never have to worry about updating your business address with the state or otherwise

Stop scammers & angry clients from finding your home
When you file your company formation paperwork with the state, the addresses you list as your principal and mail business addresses become part of the public record and are accessible to anyone who looks up your business using the Georgia Business Entity Search. If you put down your home address, you’re making yourself vulnerable. Keep your personal information safe from prying eyes and persistent customers by using a CMRA for your mailing address.

Keep your mail secure and out of the wrong hands
It’s easy for mail to get misplaced or accidentally thrown away, especially if you have mail going to multiple business locations, have a busy office where more than one employee handles the mail, or work from a home office and keep getting your business mail mixed in with your personal mail. Using a CMRA limits access to authorized individuals and ensures that mail never goes missing after being delivered.

Stay organized and avoid mail clutter
Having Virtual Office Georgia LLC as your CMRA keeps all your mail easily—and quickly—accessible in one place instead of spread across locations or mixed in with other paperwork. We also upload your mail scans to an online portal instead of emailing scans, so you don’t have to go searching through your inbox to find specific mail items. Plus, you can avoid wasting time on unimportant mail because we shred all obvious junk mail.
